Job Summary

Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Nurse to join our Inpatient pathway at Hopewood Park Hospital. The successful candidate will provide assessment, consultation, and short-term intervention for patients with dual diagnosis needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to inform person-centred care plans
  • Provide specialist training, advice, and guidance to the wider inpatient team
  • Assess complex clinical risk and develop risk management plans
  • Lead on audit and service development, contributing to the evidence base for treatment approaches

Person Specification
  • Relevant clinical experience and postgraduate qualification
  • First-level nursing qualification and registration
  • Knowledge and experience of drug and alcohol service pathways and interfaces
  • Proven track record of providing professional leadership within clinical services
