Job Title: Specialist Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Specialist Nurse to join our team at Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work within the Inpatient pathway at Hopewood Park Hospital, providing assessment, consultation, and short-term intervention for patients with dual diagnosis.

About the Role

The Specialist Nurse will work closely with patients, families, and other professionals to provide comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop person-centred care plans. They will also provide specialist training, advice, and guidance to the wider inpatient team to enhance care and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments for patients with dual diagnosis
  • Develop and implement person-centred care plans
  • Provide specialist training, advice, and guidance to the inpatient team
  • Assess complex clinical risk and develop risk management plans
  • Lead on audit and service development related to dual diagnosis
Requirements

The successful candidate will have relevant clinical experience, a relevant clinical training and postgraduate qualification, and a first-level nursing qualification and registration. They will also have a degree or equivalent qualification or experience in evidence-based psychological therapies relevant to the pathway.
