About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Product Development Specialist to join our team at Universal Business Team. As a Product Development Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving the conceptualisation and realisation of bespoke EV stations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Concept Development: Collaborate with clients and the sales team to create innovative concepts for bespoke EV stations, including theft prevention measures, branded shelters, and neon designs.
  • Client Engagement: Work directly with clients to understand their needs and finalise briefs, ensuring that all concepts align with their branding and operational requirements.
  • Design Finalisation: Liaise with the in-house designer to refine and finalise design concepts, ensuring feasibility and adherence to client specifications.
  • Supplier Coordination: Identify and manage relationships with third-party suppliers and contractors to source materials and services necessary for the installation and implementation of EV stations.
  • Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initial concept to final installation, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality execution.
  • Commercial Acumen: Evaluate opportunities to bring aspects of the supply chain in-house for increased profitability and efficiency.
  • Innovation & Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continually introduce cutting-edge solutions to clients.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development, project management, or a related role, preferably within the EV or renewable energy sector.
  • Skills:
    • Strong creative and conceptual thinking abilities.
    • Excellent project management skills with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to manage client relationships and cross-functional teams.
    • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify and act on profitable opportunities.
    • Knowledge of design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
    • High attention to detail and quality.
