Job Summary:

Bramwith Consulting is seeking an experienced Electronics Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing all procurement categories, with a focus on plastics, to ensure the highest quality materials are sourced for the production of critical safety devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Category Management: Oversee all procurement categories, with a particular emphasis on plastics, ensuring materials meet the stringent standards required for marine safety equipment.
  • Supplier Negotiation: Lead negotiations with existing suppliers to secure favourable terms, while continuously assessing and onboarding new suppliers to enhance the supply chain.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to ensure a balance between optimal stock availability and cost efficiency, supporting the seamless production of safety products.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and develop a small team of procurement professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Implement and refine strategic sourcing initiatives that drive cost savings, improve quality, and reduce lead times across all procurement categories.

Requirements:

  • Procurement Expertise: Extensive experience in procurement management, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment, with a strong focus on materials such as plastics.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proven track record in supplier negotiation and contract management, with the ability to secure optimal terms and build strong supplier relationships.
  • Inventory Management: Solid experience in managing inventory within a production environment, balancing cost efficiency with availability needs.
  • Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a small team, driving performance and fostering a positive working culture.
  • Strategic Vision: Strong strategic sourcing and category management skills, with the ability to align procurement activities with overall business goals.
