Airport Operations Assistant

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Airport Operations Assistant to join our team at Edinburgh Airport. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of arriving passengers and their baggage.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Assist and guide arriving passengers through the correct channels, ensuring they are processed quickly and efficiently
* Identify and guide passengers requiring assistance down the assistance lane
* Monitor the electronic passport gates and ensure they are not left unattended
* Manage the barriers in the uni-feed to maintain the flow of passengers
* Ensure the safe passage of bags on the baggage belts and assist passengers with bag drop-off
* Support the Team Leader in implementing decisions and changes
* Provide feedback on operational issues and processes to improve performance

**Requirements**

* Excellent communication skills to interact with people at all levels
* Pleasant and approachable nature
* Ability to multitask and remain calm during busy periods
* Airport experience an advantage but not essential
* 5 years' vetting required to obtain an airside pass
