Job Summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airport Operations Duty Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our airport facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the activities of airport operations staff to ensure compliance with airline guidelines, FAA, TSA, CBP, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Develop and implement standard operational and working practices to improve efficiency and safety.
  • Review and resolve operations problems to ensure service standards are consistently met.
  • Ensure that airport operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner, within budgetary parameters.
  • Motivate, coach, and counsel staff to achieve high levels of performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Respond to critical service recovery situations with customers, freight, and employees.
  • Review expenditures to ensure compliance with corporate P&L levels.
  • Ensure all training is given to new employees to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Review equipment inspection forms to ensure specific operational and safety compliance.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree from an accredited college or university or 5 years previous supervisory/management experience.
  • Aviation industry experience a plus.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a managerial position.
  • This position is a night shift.
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing, including drug testing.
  • Must pass an FBI background check and obtain a custom seal.
  • Must pass driver's test with the Department of Airports and obtain a driver's license to drive on Airport Operational Area (AOA).
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 70 pounds.
  • Must be able to meet airline client work schedule requirement.

Education, Experience, Licenses & Certifications

  • Four-year degree from an accredited college or university or 5 years previous supervisory/management experience.
