Job Summary

Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Duty Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our clinical and administrative team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality mental health services to our patients.

Main Duties
  • Support staff with queries regarding triage, treatment, and access to secondary care.
  • Triage referrals entering the service via the IAPT self-referral portal or from other professionals.
  • Support the admin team with client/Duty queries.
  • Work as a referral coordinator within IAPT, being the first point of contact for patients presenting with mental health problems.
  • Manage triage referrals and make clinical decisions about appropriate services.
  • Recognise the signs of abuse/safeguarding concerns and take appropriate action, being aware of statutory and local procedures.

Person Specification
  • Professional qualification (RMN, OT, CBT, Psychology).
  • Degree or equivalent qualification/experience in delivery of mental health interventions.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Counsellor level 5.
