Research Associate in Organic Semiconductor Physics

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our team in the Department of Physics at the University of Cambridge. The successful candidate will work on a project to explore the electronic and optical properties of radical (spin ¿)-based organic semiconductors.

About the Project

This project aims to develop a new class of radical-based organic semiconductor materials (ROSCs) and harness their properties to develop new possibilities for optoelectronic and spintronic devices. The successful candidate will join a highly collaborative team involving universities and industrial partners around the world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on the electronic and optical properties of ROSCs
  • Develop new methods for fabricating and characterizing ROSC-based devices
  • Collaborate with the research team to advance the project goals
  • Contribute to the preparation of research papers and presentations
Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated and talented individual with a PhD in Physics or a related area. The successful candidate will have a strong background in semiconductor device physics and a track record of high-quality research. Experience with device fabrication, characterisation, and modelling is desirable.

What We Offer

The University of Cambridge offers a dynamic and supportive research environment, with access to state-of-the-art facilities and a collaborative team of researchers. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project with significant potential for impact.
