Job Title: Senior Manager, Climate Transition

The Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Manager to lead our climate transition efforts in the transportation sector. As a key member of our climate team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to accelerate the transition to a zero-carbon transportation system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector, with a focus on shipping, aviation, road transport, and transport finance.
  • Lead the development of grant proposals and manage a portfolio of investments in the transportation sector, working closely with our global investment team.
  • Provide thought leadership and expertise on climate policy and international capacity building, with a focus on the transportation sector.
  • Collaborate with our regional investment teams to develop and implement strategies to support the transition to a zero-carbon transportation system in key regions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including NGOs, governments, and private sector companies, to advance CIFF's climate goals.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in climate policy and international capacity building, with a focus on the transportation sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of the transportation sector and its role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
