Consultant in Paediatric Inherited Metabolic Diseases and Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Metabolic Medicine Consultant to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our metabolic medicine services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical opinion and management of children with inherited metabolic diseases
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
- Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols for the management of inherited metabolic diseases
- Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance the field of paediatric metabolic medicine
- Supervise and educate junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals
- MRCPCH or equivalent qualification
- Full GMC registration
- On the GMC's Specialist Register or within six months of CCT at time of scheduled interview
- Experience in paediatric metabolic medicine, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of inherited metabolic diseases
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
