About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Manager to join our Asset Management team at Legal & General. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle management of our product ranges, ensuring each product and fund range is fully managed following launch through to the end of its lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Management: Manage the delivery and continued development of the Product Management process for regulated products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Project Management: Scoping and designing product changes using effective project management tools, identifying and documenting key milestones and deliverables, capturing actions and issues, running working groups and testing, and managing or mitigating risks.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensuring ongoing use and compliance with Product policies and procedures, adhering to compliance, governance, and risk policies and frameworks, and ensuring personal adherence to business ethics, values, and stakeholder requirements.
  • Product Risk Management: Regularly assessing management and delivery of product risk, fund, and thematic reviews, using existing arrangements, and identifying and implementing process improvements to review the benefits realization of regulated funds following their launch.
  • Product Technical Support: Delivering product technical support on matters such as regulation, tax, customer channels, registrations, disclosures, and operational items on both an ongoing and project basis to manage existing products to meet the needs of customers.
  • Operational Coordination: Ensuring all relevant operational areas are involved in decision-making processes around product changes and informed in advance of new initiatives, coordinating operational teams as part of scoping, delivery, and implementation, and ensuring effective engagement with key service providers supporting the product activity.
  • Strategic Fund Launches: Reviewing analysis of customer, industry, and regulatory activity to assess where strategic new fund launches or strategic fund changes are required to inform proposition design and deliver enhancements, developments, and changes to the product offering.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Degree qualified or equivalent required, professional qualifications in relation to the role such as IMC, CFA, CAIA or similar highly desirable.
  • Industry Experience: Strong knowledge of the international asset management industry with experience launching and managing funds in key jurisdictions.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: A strong understanding of regulation and strong technical knowledge of pooled product structures (including AIF and non-AIF) across a range of domiciles and jurisdictions.
  • Product Strategy: Experience in product strategy, development, and management, previous experience in launching, registering, operating, and amending pooled investment funds in key jurisdictions.
  • Project Management: Experience in project management, preferably with PRINCE2, Agile, or another project management accreditation.
