Social Worker - Disabled Children's Team

Position Overview

The role involves delivering comprehensive social work services tailored for children with intricate disabilities and their families, ensuring the protection and welfare of these children in alignment with the legal and statutory requirements of Northamptonshire Children's Trust.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified social worker with substantial post-qualification experience, preferably with a background in supporting children with disabilities and their families.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include providing social work services at a professionally qualified level to children with complex disabilities and their families, ensuring their welfare is prioritized and safeguarded in accordance with the legal frameworks governing children's services.

Candidate Profile

The successful applicant will be a registered social worker with Social Work England, demonstrating a strong commitment to best practices in supporting children and families. You should possess the ability to manage a diverse and complex caseload effectively.

About Northamptonshire Children's Trust

Established to provide Children's Services to North and West Northants County Councils, Northamptonshire Children's Trust operates independently while being wholly owned and funded by the councils. This unique structure allows for innovative approaches to service delivery and a commitment to high-quality professional practice.

The Disabled Children's Team is dedicated to supporting children with complex disabilities and their families, comprising a diverse group of professionals including Team Managers, Advanced Practitioners, Senior Social Workers, and Family Support Workers.

Our team collaborates closely with health, education, and voluntary sector partners, employing a multidisciplinary approach to address the needs of children aged 0-18 in various capacities, including child protection and safeguarding.
