The Role of the Aftercare Decorator

The Aftercare Decorator will report directly to the onsite aftercare manager and be responsible for delivering all aspects of decorative works in occupied houses and apartments. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting customer visits to ensure a high-quality aftercare service
  • Preparing comprehensive investigation reports to identify and resolve decorative defects
  • Attending to reported defects in a timely manner and resolving them to a high standard
  • Effectively managing personal workload and communicating changes in priorities or workload adjustments
  • Reviewing upcoming work to ensure timely availability of materials and tools
  • Ensuring customers have a full understanding of works to be carried out
  • Maintaining cleanliness and professionalism of van and equipment
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations and standards
  • Providing accurate and up-to-date reporting of progress

Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be an experienced decorator with additional skills in patching, filling, sanding, and mastic work. They will also possess:

  • A full clean driving license
  • Good communication skills
  • A high level of flexibility and planning and organizing skills
  • The ability to build rapport and deliver high-quality customer aftercare
  • The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team

Desirable Qualifications

Further technical skills such as joinery, plumbing, and tiling are desirable. A passion for continuous skill development and a willingness to expand expertise are also highly valued.
