Principal Planning Policy Officer

London

£45-55 per hour


Initial 6 Month Contract


Carrington West is seeking an experienced Town Planning Policy Specialist to join their Planning Policy Team for an initial 6 month period.


Main Responsibilities
  1. Support the effective renewal and regeneration of Harrow Council
  2. Conduct planning policy and research tasks that enable the successful delivery of the Local Plan and associated Area Action Plans and Supplementary Planning Documents
  3. Ensure timely and meaningful engagement of other Council Divisions, elected members, statutory and non-statutory bodies, developers and public stakeholders in the above processes
  4. Manage discrete research and policy development / drafting and projects, including management of consultants
  5. Cross-Council working to deliver corporate objectives, including infrastructure funding and delivery
  6. Provide specialist planning policy advice
  7. Deputise for the Planning Policy Manager
  8. Line management of one or more Planners or Senior Planners
Requirements

Planning qualifications and planning policy experience required, preferably in a London context.


Hybrid working is available for this role; however, the council requires you to be in the office at least one day per week.
