About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Market Development Representative to focus on Aerospace and Defence (A&D) within the United Kingdom and expanding into Europe. You will play a crucial role in driving innovation at the forefront of our efforts to secure Gore product placements on significant commercial and defence programs.
Your primary responsibility will be identifying and engaging with key end users, influencers, and teaming partners to develop and implement capture plans designed to increase Gore's probability of success in securing these opportunities.
Responsibilities:- Develop comprehensive strategies, capture plans, and lead their execution for multiple large, complex programme opportunities within UK Defence Agencies, Defence contractors, and Commercial Aircraft Companies.
- Collaborate closely with Gore A&D leadership to develop and refine overall strategies for future business growth. This includes leading strategy sessions for specific customer communities (Air Force, Army, Navy, UKMOD, NATO) to ensure Gore's alignment with end-user, acquisition, and capability requirements, as well as B2B influencers.
- Influence requirements based on end-user, system, and Gore insights by synchronizing and driving impactful responses to government solicitations.
- Work closely with the Gore A&D Regional Sales Leader and Sales Associates to support opportunities that have transitioned from Market Development Captures to discrete, high-probability sales team opportunities within Salesforce.
- Serve as a vital link between customers and Gore's A&D technical team, bringing customer insights to drive a new product pipeline that aligns Gore's product development with customer roadmaps over the next decade.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business management, or engineering.
- 10+ years of sales experience within Business to Government or comparable military experience with Government to Government sales.
- Proven ability to assess complex and/or emerging markets and identify key opportunities for growth.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
