Key Responsibilities of the Procurement Assistant

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, this position transcends the typical Procurement role. The Assistant will oversee the ordering, coordination, and maintenance of laboratory supplies, serving as the primary contact for stock management and compliance with internal and external audit standards. Responsibilities also include managing uniform provisions and hazardous waste protocols. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and risk management strategies.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, due to reporting requirements
  • A-level education or equivalent qualifications
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of anticipating the needs of others while managing stock operations efficiently and safely.
