About the Role:

The Quality Manager position is pivotal in advancing the Ocado Technology Mission by establishing a unified Quality Management System across our product ecosystems, spanning Development to Operations.

While ISO 9001 provides a framework for risk management and ongoing enhancement, this role focuses on implementing innovative strategies for QMS application across Compliance, Design, Operations, and Services.

The primary objectives of this role include:

  • Creating and advocating for a proactive quality assurance framework throughout the organization.
  • Implementing value-driven enhancements to our QMS, essential for nurturing our quality culture.
  • Establishing interdependencies for QMS integration within product design and engineering.
  • Leading internal audits, governance, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Identifying opportunities for Project Quality Assurance to foster quality improvements.
  • Conducting problem-solving and failure mode analysis in collaboration with Supply Chain Quality to identify and mitigate design process failures.

What We Are Looking For:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in Quality Systems Management, Quality Assurance, or similar fields.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of quality control processes and applicable legal standards.
  • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented, responsible, and dedicated to maintaining quality standards.
  • Exceptional communication skills, promoting teamwork across departments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in quality control (e.g., ISO 9000) is advantageous but not mandatory.
