Senior Children's Residential Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team in Solihull. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in supporting the manager in the day-to-day running of our 3-bed home, which provides a safe and nurturing environment for young people with emotional behaviours.

About the Role:

  • Lead by example and support the management team to run the shift
  • Mentor and support newer staff members to ensure a smooth transition
  • Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their lives
  • Maintain a homely and friendly culture within the home
  • Deal with challenging behaviours in a safe and sympathetic manner
  • Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
  • Provide support for the children and young people in the home, promoting their independence and well-being
  • Maintain a safe environment for the young people

Requirements:

  • NVQ or QCF Level 3 / Level 4 in Children and Young People is ESSENTIAL
  • 2 years experience in a residential children's home environment is ESSENTIAL
  • Full Driving Licence is ESSENTIAL for transporting children
