We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at The Thrive Team Limited. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our manufactured products.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections of products in the machine shop to ensure they meet customer requirements and company standards.
- Calibrate and validate monitoring and measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Liaise with the engineering team to clarify inspection and testing requirements, and provide feedback on product quality.
- Support the production team with in-process inspection and quality control measures.
- Maintain product traceability and compliance with relevant industry standards.
- Identify and quarantine non-conforming parts, and report product non-conformances accurately.
- Contribute to problem-solving activities and investigations to resolve product or process non-conformances.
- Participate in quality-led improvement initiatives to drive overall quality performance.
- Minimum of 1 year's experience in a quality control role in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in reading, understanding, and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Competent in manual inspection processes using equipment such as tapes, rules, micrometers, verniers, height gauges, thread gauges, etc.
- Ability to write clear and concise inspection reports and work with both metric and imperial units as required.
- Ability to operate and program CMM (Aberlink software with CAD desirable), FARO Arm (Faro 10 Software with CAD desirable), and Polyworks (Polyworks Software with CAD desirable).
- Ability to use paint thickness and gloss level instruments (desirable).
- This role may evolve into an off-line programming position.
