AIG is seeking a talented Commercial Property Underwriter to join our Regions Property team in the Midlands and South-West. As a key contributor to the development of our property portfolio, you will have the opportunity to grow your career and make a meaningful impact in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop risk transfer solutions for mid to large corporate property clients brokered in the UK Regions.
  2. Maintain and develop strong broker and client relationships.
  3. Work cross-functionally with other areas in AIG to achieve corporate objectives.
  4. Work within agreed decision-making standards, limitations, authorities, and underwriting guidelines.
  5. Achieve satisfactory ratings on all underwriting quality reviews.
  6. Ensure all corporate service standards are maintained to both brokers & internal colleagues.
  7. Support the culture of continuous improvement in all areas including improving processes to make the business more efficient and creating an environment where people are encouraged to take initiative and responsibility.
Requirements:
  1. Commercial property underwriting experience combined with technical insurance knowledge.
  2. A desire to develop your property underwriting technical capability, including in relation to reinsurance and multinational insurance programmes.
  3. Experience working with regional brokers and a desire to proactively expand your broker network.
  4. Ability to understand policy wordings.
  5. Experience and comfort working in a multi-stakeholder, collaborative environment.
  6. Desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment as a key contributor to the development of AIG's Regional property portfolio in the Midlands and South-West.
