About the Role

Charles River Discovery is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Group Leader to join our dynamic team of scientists in the field of Structural Biology, Biophysics, and Protein Science. This leadership position offers the opportunity to guide multiple teams across our research sites, contributing to the success of diverse drug discovery projects.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for your team, ensuring alignment with company goals and fostering a culture of scientific excellence.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of talented scientists, empowering them to reach their full potential and contribute to impactful research.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional project teams, driving efficient execution and delivering high-quality results that meet client expectations.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Structural Biology, Biophysics, and Protein Science, integrating new knowledge and technologies into your team's work.
  • Engage with global clients to understand their needs, provide expert guidance, and ensure seamless project execution.

Your Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field; a PhD is highly preferred.
  • Extensive expertise in Structural Biology, Protein Science, or Biophysics, with a proven track record of successful research contributions.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams in a drug discovery setting, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  • A strong understanding of project management principles and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
