About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Data Analyst to join our team at the Wellcome Sanger Institute. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of precision oncology and contributing to the development of life-changing science.

As a Cancer Biology Specialist, you will be responsible for providing outstanding support, training, and assistance to our commercial users, ensuring they get the most out of our COSMIC platform. You will also be the primary point of contact for laboratory and BioIT audiences, establishing the technical value of our solutions and driving sales of the COSMIC platform to Pharma, Biotech, and Clinical labs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support client institutions in showcasing COSMIC features and capabilities, including minor data manipulation requests and advising on process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial users, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive sales of the COSMIC platform and establish the technical value of our solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cancer biology, NGS, and related applications, ensuring our solutions remain cutting-edge.
Requirements
  • Educated in Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • BioIT background and/or experience in developing computer software.
  • Significant industry experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and tailor explanations to differing knowledge levels.
  • Ability to take ownership of objectives and drive them forward, with a strong organised approach and ability to multi-task.

We operate a hybrid working pattern, with a minimum of 2-3 days working onsite. There may be occasional travel to conferences and customer sites. We offer a competitive salary in the region of £41,331 to £45,500, depending on skills and experience.
