About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Group Leader/Senior Group Leader to join our Structural Biology, Biophysics and Protein Science management team. As a key member of our team, you will provide strong scientific, operational and strategic leadership to multiple teams at our Harlow and Chesterford Research Park sites.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of project leadership, with experience in people management and a strong understanding of drug discovery project leadership. You will be responsible for line management of up to 8 direct reports, performance reviews, succession planning, development and training of team members, and ensuring compliance with CRL site-based safety and compliance guidelines.

You will also be expected to interact across other CRL Discovery sites and disciplines, with a diverse range of global clients. Experience in a CRO setting is desirable, and a dynamic and flexible approach towards achieving client-based objectives is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide scientific and operational leadership to cross-discipline project team members
  • Line management of up to 8 direct reports
  • Performance reviews, succession planning, development and training of team members
  • Ensure compliance with CRL site-based safety and compliance guidelines
  • Interact across other CRL Discovery sites and disciplines, with a diverse range of global clients
