Job Description:

**Transport Compliance Manager - South West Regional Operations**

We are seeking an experienced Transport Compliance Manager to join our team at Smartsearch Recruitment. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our mixed fleet, including HGVs, truck loader cranes, waste management tankers, and drivers within the South West region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with depot managers throughout the region to ensure vehicles are maintained in line with Operator Licence undertakings and supplier agreements, minimizing operational impact.
  • Complete weekly compliance and KPI reports, highlighting performance trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Take charge of day-to-day planning and management of the region and trusted haulage partners.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar Transport Compliance Manager role.
  • Up-to-date Transport Manager CPC.
  • Experience of UK & EU legislation in all aspects of fleet and driver management and compliance.
  • Preferably have experience of managing a diverse fleet including HGV, truck loader cranes, waste tankers, etc.
  • Strong geographical understanding of the UK.
  • Possess influencing skills, a commitment to compliance, and a customer-focused mind-set with business acumen.
  • Ability to build and effectively manage relationships with suppliers and haulage partners.
