Electronics Manufacturing Test Engineer

IntaPeople: STEM Recruitment is seeking a skilled Electronics Manufacturing Test Engineer to join their innovative electronics manufacturing company in South Wales.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Align NPI strategy with internal teams and suppliers to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Design and test electro-mechanical fixtures and test equipment to ensure high-quality products.
  • Develop production documentation and provide expertise in design reviews to guarantee products are built to perfection.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and ensure contract manufacturers stay ahead of the curve.
  • Manage the NPI industrialisation process, from process mapping to troubleshooting, to ensure smooth transitions from concept to production.
  • Design and support production setups, implement engineering changes, and analyse data to maintain industry leadership.
Requirements:
  • Desirable: degree or apprenticeship in electronics manufacturing, coupled with 3+ years of hands-on experience.
  • Ideal: proficiency in C#/LabVIEW/software development, and desirable understanding of electronic schematics and circuits.
  • Experience in New Product Introduction and testing electro-mechanical fixtures.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting skills and knowledge of quality processes like 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Please note that this role requires 3 days a week visits to the Cardiff base, and there is a small percentage of international travel involved.
