Key Responsibilities:

  • Align the New Product Introduction (NPI) strategy with internal teams and suppliers, driving innovation and efficiency.
  • Assist in the design and testing of various electro-mechanical fixtures and test equipment.
  • Take the lead in developing production documentation and injecting expertise into design reviews to ensure products are built to the highest standards.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing and ensure contract manufacturers are always at the forefront of the industry.
  • Manage the NPI industrialisation process, from process mapping to troubleshooting, ensuring smooth transitions from concept to production.
  • Design and support production setups, implement engineering changes, and analyse data to keep the company at the forefront of the industry.

Requirements:

  • Desirably a degree or apprenticeship in electronics manufacturing, coupled with 5+ years of hands-on experience.
  • Ideally proficiency in C#, LabVIEW, and a solid understanding of electronic schematics and circuits.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting skills and knowledge of quality processes like 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Please note that this role requires 3 days a week visits to the Cardiff base, and there is a small percentage of international travel involved.
