Electronics Manufacturing Company Seeks Experienced Test Engineer
IntaPeople: STEM Recruitment is partnering with an innovative electronics manufacturing company to find a skilled Manufacturing Test Engineer to join their team in South Wales.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the development of cutting-edge electronic products.
Key Responsibilities:- Align NPI Strategy with Internal Teams and Suppliers: Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to drive innovation and efficiency in the NPI process.
- Design and Test of Electro-Mechanical Fixtures and Test Equipment: Assist in the design and testing of various electro-mechanical fixtures and test equipment to ensure high-quality products.
- Develop Production Documentation and Lead Design Reviews: Develop production documentation and lead design reviews to ensure products are designed and built to meet the highest standards.
- Champion Lean Manufacturing and Contract Manufacturer Support: Champion Lean Manufacturing principles and ensure contract manufacturers are always up-to-date with the latest processes and technologies.
- Manage NPI Industrialisation Process: Manage the NPI industrialisation process from process mapping to troubleshooting to ensure smooth transitions from concept to production.
- Design and Support Production Setups: Design and support production setups, implement engineering changes, and analyze data to ensure products are built to the highest standards.
- Desirable Qualifications: A degree or apprenticeship in electronics manufacturing, coupled with 3+ years of hands-on experience.
- Desirable Skills: Proficiency in C#/LabVIEW/software development, and understanding of electronic schematics and circuits.
- Experience: Experience of New Product Introduction and testing electro-mechanical fixtures.
- Skills: Mechanical troubleshooting skills and knowledge of quality processes like 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.
- Personal Qualities: Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Please note that this role requires 3 days a week visits to the Cardiff base, and there is a small percentage of international travel involved.
