Electronics Manufacturing Company Seeks Test Engineering Expert
IntaPeople: STEM Recruitment is partnering with an innovative electronics manufacturing company to find a skilled Test Engineering professional to join their team in South Wales.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to drive innovation and efficiency in the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:- Align NPI Strategy with Internal Teams and Suppliers: Develop and implement strategies to align new product introduction (NPI) with internal teams and suppliers, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficient innovation.
- Design and Test of Electro-Mechanical Fixtures and Test Equipment: Assist in the design and testing of various electro-mechanical fixtures and test equipment, ensuring they meet the company's high standards.
- Develop Production Documentation and Lead Design Reviews: Take the lead in developing production documentation and inject expertise into design reviews to ensure products are not just built, but built to perfection.
- Champion Lean Manufacturing: Promote Lean Manufacturing principles and ensure contract manufacturers are always at the forefront of the industry.
- Manage NPI Industrialisation Process: Oversee the industrialisation process, from process mapping to troubleshooting, ensuring smooth transitions from concept to production.
- Design and Support Production Setups: Design and support production setups, implement engineering changes, and analyze data to maintain the company's position as a leader in the industry.
- Desirable Qualifications: A degree or apprenticeship in electronics manufacturing, coupled with 3+ years of hands-on experience.
- Ideal Skills: Proficiency in C#/LabVIEW/software development, and desirable understanding of electronic schematics and circuits.
- Experience: Experience of New Product Introduction and testing electro-mechanical fixtures.
- Skills: Mechanical troubleshooting skills and knowledge of quality processes like 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.
- Personal Qualities: Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Please note that this role requires 3 days a week visits to the company's base, and there is a small percentage of international travel involved.
