We have several openings for Family Support Specialists to join our team. The Family Assessment Service manages cases referred from our Front Door (MASH). Specialists conduct Child and Family Assessments, develop family plans, and, when suitable, collaborate with families to facilitate the implementation of agreed interventions. They also carry out S47 Child Protection Enquiries and partner with various agencies to ensure the safety and support of children and young people. Our Family Assessment Service comprises five teams located in modern offices. Join us in our mission to enhance the lives of children and families across the Borough. Essential Qualifications

We seek confident, qualified Family Support Specialists who are registered with Social Work England and have completed their ASYE. Candidates should demonstrate their skills, resilience, and experience in:
- Building relationships to foster change
- Identifying and leveraging family strengths
- Managing complex cases
- Conducting Child and Family assessments
- Engaging directly with children, young people, and families while showcasing multi-agency collaboration and a solid understanding of needs assessment thresholds.
- Possessing strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with families and referrers from all partner agencies.
- Exhibiting excellent analytical and writing abilities, incorporating our systemic practice model that emphasizes family strengths and protective factors.
- Demonstrating effective time management skills to meet expected deadlines.
