Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Artisan People Group. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients' museum, its visitors, staff, and collection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a professional and proactive security service to ensure the safety and security of the museum and its visitors.
  • Actively patrol and search bags to prevent unauthorized access to the museum.
  • Guard within the museum estate and maintain a visible presence at all times.
  • Be highly vigilant and aware of surroundings, security issues, and maintain a high level of situational awareness.
  • Respond rapidly and effectively to incidents and emergency situations.
  • Provide a high standard of customer service to visitors asking for information or directions.
  • Make decisions under pressure and have excellent communication, presentation, and punctuality skills.

Requirements:

  • SIA Door Supervisor licence is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience in applying security principles.
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety and Fire Regulations.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including significant amounts of walking, rapid response, and long periods of time spent in an outdoor marquee in all weathers.
