Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will:
- Provide support for desktops and associated devices within office settings.
- Assist with various infrastructure components, including network printers and server hardware, in a hands-on capacity.
- Deliver comprehensive deskside assistance to end users in office environments.
- Maintain a strong commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Take ownership of escalated tickets from the service desk and other teams, managing them effectively.
- Ensure all activities are documented accurately in accordance with ITIL practices.
- Work within a highly regulated framework, adhering to both local and global policies.
- Follow health and safety protocols as per company training and policies.
- Comply with all IT Asset Management procedures and policies.
The role requires proficiency in:
- Building and deploying PCs, troubleshooting printer issues, and supporting standard software applications.
- Engaging in ad-hoc tasks with a proactive and positive approach.
- Providing hands-on support in communication areas and data centers, while also offering feedback and guidance to remote teams.
- Learning new skills and procedures to enhance support for colleagues and clients.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a desktop support role.
- Proven troubleshooting skills for both software and hardware.
- Experience with Windows 10 and legacy Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suites, including Office 365.
- Experience in a regulated ITIL environment, utilizing appropriate service and ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and patching.
- Experience in server hardware support, including racking and hands-on assistance.
- A willingness to support essential out-of-hours work as needed.
- Understanding of ITIL principles.
