Railway Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused individual to join our team as an Off-Track Operative. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rail network.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain, inspect, and repair the land alongside the track network to prevent vegetation growth and ensure safe passage for trains.
- Work in a team environment to deliver safe and efficient work delivery, adhering to strict safety protocols and procedures.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of rail safety procedures and protocols, with a focus on proactive planning and risk management.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address potential safety hazards, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance technical skills and non-technical skills, with a focus on continuous learning and self-improvement.
- Proven experience in arboriculture or a related field, with a strong understanding of vegetation management and rail safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a variety of weather conditions, with a focus on proactive planning and risk management.
- Valid driving license (category B) and ability to drive Network Rail vehicles.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, and weekends, with a focus on meeting the needs of the team and the rail network.
