About the Role

CRA Legal is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Trade Mark Attorney or Intellectual Property Solicitor to join our team in Sheffield. As a key member of our trade mark team, you will be responsible for managing trade mark portfolios and disputes for high-end clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Trade Mark Portfolio Management: You will be responsible for drafting arguments and submissions, advising clients on registrability of marks, reviewing watch notices, drafting trade mark specifications, dealing with Registry objections, undertaking clearance searches, and liaising with foreign attorneys.
  2. Contentious Matters: You will assist with various contentious matters, including trade mark litigation claims, trade mark opposition, and cancellation actions.
  3. Research and Analysis: You will undertake legal research and prepare evidence to support trade mark applications and disputes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  1. Qualifications: Either partially and fully completed the Trade Mark Attorney qualification process, be a newly qualified solicitor, and/or be a qualified trade mark attorney or solicitor with up to 2 PQE.
  2. Skills: Effective organisational and prioritisation skills, experience working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, excellent attention to detail, good communication skills, both written and oral, experience working autonomously and as part of a dynamic team, a flexible and pro-active attitude, and a thirst for learning.
