Your Role

We are seeking a skilled Solicitor or Legal Executive to enhance our Partnership, Wills & Probate team. This position is based within our Sheffield office, requiring a minimum of two days per week attendance.

The successful applicant will collaborate with our Partner, Anne McCann, focusing on our estate planning sector. Our team is dedicated to safeguarding our clients' wealth for their families, employing strategies that ensure assets are structured in a tax-efficient manner. We provide comprehensive legal and tax guidance necessary for effective future planning, particularly in managing intricate estates that may involve international considerations.

The responsibilities of this role encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Providing legal counsel, drafting, and executing wills;
  • Establishing and managing trusts to oversee financial assets, property, or investments for designated beneficiaries;
  • Offering advice on investment strategies and wealth management structures;
  • Planning for succession to ensure the continuity of our clients' businesses.

About You

We are looking for a Solicitor or Legal Executive who possesses a genuine enthusiasm for estate planning and has demonstrated experience with complex estates or high net worth clients. The ideal candidate will exhibit the following qualifications:

  • Proficiency in taking client instructions and delivering sound legal advice;
  • Experience in supporting senior professionals with high-value, complex cases;
  • Capability to manage personal caseloads while ensuring meticulous attention to detail and high-quality service;
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team to achieve optimal outcomes for clients;
  • Technical expertise in estate planning, particularly in wills, lasting powers of attorney, and trusts;
  • A strong inclination towards business development and a commitment to fostering robust client and referrer relationships, alongside a desire to contribute to the broader team's growth.
