Senior Quantity Surveyor Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at JSS Search. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality foundation and ground engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive commercial support to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Undertake pre and post-contract quantity surveying and commercial duties, supporting the Divisional Commercial Lead and providing commercial situational leadership and guidance to quantity surveyors and operations teams.
  • Review project contract terms and tender / bid submissions, providing input into pricing strategy, qualifications, and clarifications.
  • Lead contract negotiations in accordance with the Company's contracting rules, ensuring timely execution prior to commencement.
  • Maximise cash flow and manage post-contract Quantity Surveying functions, ensuring all contract entitlements are secured with timely notices, valuations, and billings.
Requirements:
  • Proven ability as a commercial situational leader.
  • Experienced practitioner/user of sector standard forms of contract, including NEC.
  • Ability to work with and lead the commercial team to commercialise all aspects of the business.
  • Highly proficient at using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, and web-based applications and ERPs.
  • A full driving licence, valid in the UK, and flexibility to travel in the UK.
