We are seeking a highly skilled Product Manager - Aftermarket Services to join our team at Smiths Detection. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving the success of our service products and aftermarket solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Commercial Strategy Development: Define and execute commercial strategies for service products, aligning with services and aftermarket objectives.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about target markets, competitors, and pricing to ensure our service offerings remain competitive.
- Customer Feedback: Translate customer feedback into service offering requirements, ensuring our solutions meet the evolving needs of our customers.
- Growth Opportunities: Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities through partnerships, M&A, new markets, technologies, and service offerings.
- Service Offering Management: Maintain scope, features, parameters, and value proposition of service offerings to ensure they remain aligned with customer needs.
- Launch and Optimization: Lead the launch of new service offerings and monitor their performance, developing plans for optimization and improvement.
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including sales and industry marketing teams, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in product management, marketing, and commercial development. The ideal candidate will have:
- Graduate-level qualification in business or technology, preferably with a master's degree.
- Proven track record in aftermarket products and service offering design, development, commercialization, promotion, and marketing from concept to launch in a B2B/B2G setting.
- Strong commercial acumen and international business development expertise.
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written), with proficiency in a second language advantageous.
- Ability to assess customer and market needs and translate them into winning value propositions.
- Analytical skills for effective decision-making and trade-offs.
- Comfortable working with data and IT systems and building business cases.
- Leadership skills to lead and direct integrated project teams in an international matrix setting.
