About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Multi-Disciplinary Specialist Palliative Care Team at the Rowans Hospice. As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will work alongside our experienced team to provide specialist care to patients with life-limiting illnesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist occupational therapy services to patients with palliative care needs
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement patient-centred care plans
  • Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for equipment and adaptations to support patients in their homes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community-based services and professionals to ensure seamless care
  • Participate in education and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • Current Health Care Professions Council registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Advanced communications skills training or be prepared to work towards this
  • Evidence of Continuing Education
  • Car driver with current licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
