About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team at GSF Car Parts, a leading automotive parts distributor in the UK and Ireland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support to the Head of Accounts Payable, processing high volumes of invoices, and ensuring timely payments.
Main Responsibilities
- Match and process stock invoices with purchase orders, good receipts, and supporting documentation, verifying accuracy and completeness.
- Code and process non-stock (opex) invoices into the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Send invoices to internal stakeholders for approval and collaborate with suppliers to resolve discrepancies.
- Reconcile supplier statements monthly, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accurate payment of invoices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records, including online filing of invoices and credit notes.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, preparing and reconciling accounts payable reports and statements.
About You
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in Excel and report running. You will be highly competent in using formulas, pivot tables, and macros, and have excellent communication and organizational skills.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Proven experience in accounts payable, preferably in a multi-site organization.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with high volume invoices.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Good attention to detail and knowledge of MAM, MS Office.
