About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Youth Participation Officer to join our team at Richmond and Wandsworth Council. As a key member of our Arts and Culture Service, you will play a crucial role in developing, delivering, and monitoring a range of cultural programs for young creatives aged 14+ within London Borough of Culture.

Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with the Programme and Partnership Manager to lead on these programs, ensuring the inclusion of youth voice and delivering initiatives that support young people's access to creative careers. You will be responsible for facilitating sessions, collaborating with artists, and utilizing your project management skills to produce events and activities.

Safeguarding training will be provided as part of your induction. Some evening and weekend work may be required, but we offer a flexible working environment that values work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver cultural programs for young creatives aged 14+ within London Borough of Culture
  • Work closely with the Programme and Partnership Manager to lead on these programs
  • Facilitate sessions and collaborate with artists to produce events and activities
  • Utilize project management skills to ensure successful program delivery
  • Provide safeguarding training and support as needed
Requirements
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Good youth facilitation skills and understanding of youth participation panels
  • Experience of delivering art projects
  • Good evaluation skills and basic understanding of data processing
