About the Role

Bloomsbury Football is seeking a highly skilled Programme Manager to lead and grow our fastest growing grassroots football league for girls. As a Programme Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the league, including managing a team, creating and executing a long-term growth strategy, and overseeing finances.

Key Responsibilities
  • League Operations: Manage the league's calendar of fixtures, including referee assignments and allocation of pitch space.
  • Stakeholder Management: Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including club leads, venue managers, and county FA colleagues.
  • Governance: Ensure correct governance of the league, including compliance with FA rules and guidelines, implementation of disciplinary procedures, and safeguarding policies.
  • Team Management: Line manage the full-time league coordinator and part-time league assistants.
  • Growth Strategy: Develop and execute a short and long-term growth strategy for the league.
  • Finance: Oversee league finances, including producing budgets and raising invoices.
  • Impact Measurement: Utilise the league's impact measurement framework to implement an effective monitoring and evaluation process.
  • Events: Deliver events such as coaching and refereeing courses, community workshops, and tournaments.
  • Partnerships: Work alongside the Fundraising team to secure partnerships and sponsorships.
  • Marketing: Work alongside the Marketing team to develop an effective marketing strategy.
Requirements
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Time Management: Exceptional time management with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Leadership: Confidence in leadership and decision-making.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to take initiative to problem-solve.
  • Familiarity with Budgeting: Familiarity with budgeting and finance.
  • Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Women's and Girls' Football: Knowledge of women's and girls' football and the challenges faced by girls in football.
Other Requirements
  • Flexible Working Pattern: Flexible working pattern, with ability to work weekends and evenings as needed.
  • Right to Work in the UK: The candidate must have the right to live and work in the UK. Bloomsbury Football does not sponsor visas.
