Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Recovery Support Specialist to join our team. As a Recovery Support Specialist, you will work collaboratively with service users and mental health professionals to navigate and coordinate services, connecting individuals with community resources, building resilience, and improving wellbeing.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work with families, carers, and friends to provide support and guidance
  • Build therapeutic relationships with service users and support a team caseload of individuals with severe and enduring mental health needs
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Participate in management and clinical supervision, as well as group reflective practice

Person Specification

We are looking for an experienced professional with a proven track record of working with individuals with mental health needs, complex needs, and multiple support requirements. Essential qualifications and experience include:

  • Experience working with people with mental health needs or complex needs
  • Proven experience of carrying out needs and/or risk assessments and the support planning process
  • Experience of working with individuals with competing needs and priorities

Desirable qualifications and experience include:

  • Proven experience of mental health issues and/or services, either as a user, carer, or supporter
  • A year's experience in a relevant field
