About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join Barchester Healthcare as a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical). As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing and developing teams in various care homes across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement action plans to ensure high-quality care and service delivery
  • Lead by example and monitor standards through regular audits and clinical practice
  • Develop and deliver strategies to achieve goals and improve resident outcomes
  • Support newly qualified nurses through preceptorship and mentorship
  • Manage safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching, mentoring or supervision qualification. Previous experience of working within a nursing home setting is essential, as is evidence of continual professional development. You will also need to have a strong knowledge of sales and marketing, an understanding of budget management, and a track record of supporting newly qualified nurses.
