About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Mental Health Lead / Deputy Manager at one of our Barchester care homes.

As a Clinical Mental Health Lead / Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality care to our residents. You will work closely with the Home Manager and take on leadership duties in their absence, ensuring that care standards are maintained and that the team is motivated and supported.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example and monitor standards through regular audits, supervised clinical practice, and regulatory compliance checks.
  • Develop and deliver strategies to achieve goals and improve care outcomes.
  • Support the Home Manager in managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to newly qualified nurses through preceptorship.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Registered Mental Health Nurse with current NMC registration and a teaching/mentoring/supervision qualification. You will also need experience in helping residents with different health needs and a successful track record of managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments.
