Finsbury Food Group, a leading speciality bakery manufacturer, is seeking a National Account Executive to join our Commercial Team. We are committed to raising quality and efficiency standards, building long-term relationships with major multiple retailers and the foodservice channel.

The National Account Executive will be the first point of contact for existing customers, answering queries and increasing customer satisfaction. Working alongside Business Account Managers and reporting to the Account Director, the successful candidate will develop and strengthen customer accounts.

This is a fast-paced role, requiring proven work experience as a National Account Executive or relevant sales role. The ideal candidate will have experience with MS Office, particularly strong Excel skills/knowledge, and an understanding of sales principles and ability to deliver excellent customer experience.

The role offers hybrid working as an option from either our Glasgow or Sheffield site. On occasion, you will be required to attend one of our other sites or customer locations for meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and understand information on assigned customers, including account size, specific needs, and pricing & trading plans and systems.
  • Coordinate with Business Account Managers to create customised sales plans for customers.
  • Provide best-in-class support with both external customer contacts and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities within target markets and develop a full knowledge of existing product lines and services.
  • Provide statistical periodic reporting to the Account Director, Business Account Managers, and wider commercial team as requested.

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a National Account Executive or relevant sales role.
  • Experience with MS Office, particularly strong Excel skills/knowledge.
  • Understanding of sales principles and ability to deliver excellent customer experience.
  • Strong (verbal and written) communication skills with an ability to build relationships.
  • Proactive and ability to use own initiative.
  • Effective presentation and negotiation skills.
  • High degree of professionalism.
  • Good time-management and prioritisation skills with a problem-solving, inquisitive attitude.
