Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Dental Nurse to join our Consultant-led Oral and Maxillofacial Service. This is a permanent post covering clinics from Monday to Friday, working across Musgrove Park Hospital, Quantock View Dental Practice, and Heavitree, Exeter.

Main Duties

You will work as part of a team to provide clinical and non-clinical support to Trust-employed Dental clinicians across Somerset.

You will work with the nursing team across clinics, giving guidance and support.

To be able to link between service user and clinician.

To prepare the surgery for the service user and assist the clinicians in a range of dental procedures.

Processing dental equipment and instruments in accordance with HTM01-05 and local policies, including daily testing and documentation processes.

Qualifications

Essential

  • GDC Registered Dental Nurse
  • Dental Radiography
  • 2 years post-qualification in Dental Nursing

Desirable

  • Able to lead a team of Dental Nurses effectively to provide a high level of care to our patients

Experience

Essential

  • Good knowledge of Dentistry

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a hospital setting
  • Able to organise clinics and nursing levels/skills
