About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Lead/Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the new engine stand assembly team at Hydro Systems.

This role is ideal for someone looking to further develop their supervisory and leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will collaborate with a diverse team to manage the assembly provision, ensuring that engine stands are assembled to specification and dispatched on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly Team Supervision: Supervise the assembly team to ensure the engine transportation stands meet specifications and dispatch deadlines.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor consumable stock levels for smooth assembly operations.
  • Team Development: Motivate and develop the assembly team to keep skills and knowledge current.
  • Task Planning: Collaborate with the Operations Manager to plan and delegate tasks.
  • Technical Knowledge: Read and interpret technical build instruction manuals/drawings.
  • Product Management: Manage product deliveries and storage in the ESA facility.
  • Spare Part Management: Ensure spare part kits are ready for the assembly line.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality checks and testing to ensure products meet specifications.
  • General Assembly Duties: General assembly duties, including maintaining the assembly area.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the UK Management team.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Proven experience in supervising assembly and sub-assembly operations.
  • Experience using hand-held tools.
  • Ability to read and understand build instruction manuals and ensure products meet required standards.
  • A mechanical/manufacturing qualification (i.e. NVQ) is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Experience with ERP systems (i.e. SAP) is desirable.
  • FLT and overhead crane experience is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

  • Valid driving licence and passport.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK or overseas if required.
