Production Team Leader Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Team Leader to join our team in Derby. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for leading a team of 30+ employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a team of production employees and ensure they are working efficiently and effectively.
  2. Make key production decisions in the absence of the Production Manager.
  3. Monitor and support new team members and help to identify training and development needs.
  4. Support the production team in completing production tasks and deliver shift handover process.
  5. Work closely with the Quality team to manage product defects and implement corrective actions.
  6. Monitor and manage absence and lateness levels, disciplinary matters, holiday allocation, and sickness cover.

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of Team Leader or Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  2. Strong leadership skills and a focus on training and development of production employees.
  3. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage high volume production.
  4. Knowledge of risk assessment procedures and excellent Microsoft Office skills.
  5. Excellent planning and organisational skills.
