About the Role
As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting the recovery and well-being of women on an acute inpatient mental health ward. Your expertise will focus on empowering individuals through meaningful activities, establishing routines, fostering social inclusion, providing psychoeducation, and facilitating their discharge.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and deliver therapeutic group programs that promote mental well-being and recovery.
- Assess patients' needs and prescribe basic equipment or refer them for specialized equipment or adaptations as required.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students, junior staff, and volunteers through supervision and appraisal.
- Contribute to and lead projects aimed at enhancing the experiences of inpatient service users and their families.
