Role Overview:

  • Position: Building Maintenance Coordinator
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week – (occasional out of hour cover required)
  • Salary: £25,281 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks in resident apartments and communal areas.
  • Proactively manage vacant properties, ensuring water quality checks and necessary repairs are completed.
  • Collaborate with contractors on-site to enhance personal knowledge of systems and ensure compliance with risk assessments.
  • Document repair requests and maintenance issues.
  • Be available on a rota basis for emergency situations outside of regular working hours.
  • Provide a handy-person service for residents, assisting with tasks such as picture hanging and assembling furniture.

Candidate Profile:

  • Ideally possess a facilities background in a multi-dwelling environment.
  • Flexible to assist the Scheme during emergencies and outside of regular hours as needed.
  • Responsible for overseeing the repairs and maintenance service with the onsite team.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel for logging maintenance requests.
  • Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently.
  • Strong communication skills, including empathy.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Committed to health and safety practices; COSHH or IOSHH certification is desirable.
