About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Library and Literacy Mentor to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in shaping the futures of our students and creating opportunities for them to develop a love for reading.

The successful candidate will have a strong passion for education and a desire to inspire young people to become enthusiastic readers. You will be responsible for maintaining and supervising our well-resourced libraries, leading library lessons, and taking a leading role in facilitating and coordinating interventions to improve our students' literacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining and supervising one of our two well-resourced libraries
  • Leading library lessons, which are popular with students before and after school, and at breaks and lunchtimes
  • Facilitating and coordinating interventions to improve our students' literacy
About You

We are looking for someone with a degree in a literature-related subject or experience working in a library/leading English interventions. You will be passionate about education, have excellent organisational skills, and be able to engage and motivate students. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students.
